General System Care

  • Your system already comes with the manufacturer’s parts and labor warranty, so each homeowner can choose what level of support they wish to have. So between the manufacturer’s warranty coverage and American Energy the cost to maintain your system is covered. The maintenance consists of 3 visits in the first 5 years. These visits help ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and long-term reliability.

  • Yes. Our team will remind you when it’s time, but you can also contact your local service provider to schedule your service appointment.

  • Filters should typically be replaced every 3 months, depending on household conditions. Your system includes 5 years of replacement air filters to keep you healthy and your equipment clean.

  • No. The underground loop is a sealed system and is designed to operate maintenance-free for decades.

  • Yes. Geothermal systems provide more even, consistent temperatures and may not produce short, intense bursts of air common with conventional systems.

Your sales representative can give you more specific information regarding the warranty for the geothermal brand being installed in your home.
